I’m taking an online class from New York’s Museum of Modern Art. The class is called Art & Activity: Interactive Activities for Engaging with Art. I’m learning some really good techniques that I just have to share with you.
Check out these art activities from MoMA Learning
- Turn and Talk
- Whip Around
- Visual Inventory
- Memory
The class is offered FREE via Coursera. The class is a MOOC (massive open online course): I’m taking it with 23,000 others!! Class began on July 7 and ends on August 4, 2014. You can join in late. Click here to learn more.
Enjoy!
This is awesome! Someone else from my NYSATA region just mentioned this class, too, on our region’s FB page. Lots of good ideas in thst little clip, would be especially helpful for newer teachers, too. Thank you for sharing! I’m going to check out the link tomorrow.

Hi Phyl. Isn’t this great? Last week’s homework included a great ‘DJ the artwork’ activity where you think up a playlist of sounds or songs that match the artwork. This is my second free MoMA MOOC. I highly recommend this class!
Great course. if you know there will be next tell me.
This was great! Thanks so much for sharing!! I’ll be sure to share some of these ideas with my staff and in my classes. Perfect timing!
